Glass Jewellery - Residency
Finished pieces and exhibition
During my residency, I worked with artist Joanne Mitchell using the waterjet cutter. This resulted in a series of test pieces and experimental works that explore light, transparency and pattern in glass. Working with repeated elements and simple forms to create subtle differences in opacity, transparency, shiny and matt surfaces. These pieces invite the wearer to observe the movement and play of light through these shifting surfaces and patterns.
Some of the finished works are pictured below, and will be on display the Exhibition:
The exhibition opens at The National Glass Centre on 25th March 2017, and will tour later in the year to Ruthin Craft Centre.
