Last week saw me exhibit for the first time at Collect. Held at The Saatchi Gallery in London, Collect showcases exceptional Craft-led works from carefully selected international galleries. I was showing with Craft Scotland, supported by Emergents with stand design by GRAS. See some images of the Craft Scotland stand, my work and a selection of my picks from the show.
My top picks
It was fantastic to see Goldsmiths Fair showing for the first time at Collect. The stand was strong, showing some exceptional works from a selection of talented makers. Over on the Bishoplsland stand, the brooch by Andrew Lamb mesmerised me with its meticulous pattern with shimmering titanium blue highlights. Lucie Gledhill continues to push the limits of chainmaking with her mega curb link. Crafted from fine silver and hammered over the iron link to create a hollow form rich with the marks of the making. I loved watching the making process in the run up to the show via her Instagram I recommend a look. Juliette Bigley was the well deserved winner of the Collect Open award for her installation 'The table'. I also loved the rich warmth and texture of gold in Anita Carnell's hand-stitched wall pieces.
It was a pleasure to show with Craft Scotland and I left full of energy and inspiration from the strength and ambition of works on show.
