New Jewellery bench

My previous bench had been a wobbly DIY number. It had served me well for 3 years, but with the move to the new studio, I decided to treat myself to an upgrade. I needed a sturdy bench that would stand the test of time.

I approached Neil Martin with a rough sketch and some specifications: notably that the bench had to be rock solid! A month later, he delivered this beauty.

Handcrafted in solid Beech, with through mortice and tenon joints, wedged with contrasting Bog Oak, it exceeded all my expectations! I am looking forward to the wood building up a rich history of the marks of making over the years. I can't wait to begin creating new work for 2017!
